TreePac is a political action committee, whose mission “to influence the government to protect, maintain and increase the urban forest”, was very active during the 2015 city council elections in trying to assure candidates were aware of the need to preserve greenspace in the city amidst all the development. Founder Cass Turnbull (1951-2017), wrote a wonderful essay, ‘No Place for Old Trees‘ which we posted on our blog in 2016. It’s definitely worth another read before you attend.

  1. I will do my best to attend. I hope you have taken additional steps to publicize this.
If for any reason I can’t attend, I hope you will email us a summary of the various candidates’ stands on these issues. We need plain talk, not b.s. politi-speak.

    1. All the sponsors are doing their best to publicize the forum. I think TreePac is planning to post a summary of the event. Thanks for your interest. We hope to see you there.
